A Thousand Sisters is now available in bookstores and online!
Run for Congo Women-Portland. Saturday, June 26, 2010. Lower Macleay Park, NW 29th & Upshur, Portland. 9 mile (8:30 am), 3 mile (9 am), kids (9:15 am) forested trail run/walk with finish line celebration, Congolese music, letter writing & action tables. Come to celebrate and be inspired by our solidarity with our Congolese sisters. Registration: $35 adult; $15 student; $10 children under 12 (with registered adult). Registration/check in begins 7 am. February 28th, 2010 / RUN FOR CONGO WOMEN – CONGO. Lisa will be running with 75 of our Run for Congolese sisters who have graduated the sponsorship program in Bukavu, DR Congo. This run was inspired by a question one of our sisters posed to Lisa on her last trip to Congo: “What can I do to become a woman who helps other women?”
